It brings together leading global enterprises, research institutions, and industry leaders, injecting powerful momentum into the global energy transition.

Global Race for New Energy: CIBF2025 Builds a Super Ecosystem Platform

As nations worldwide compete in the new energy race, CIBF2025 is emerging as a super ecosystem platform at the forefront of this transformation. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), global battery demand is projected to surge to 3,500 GWh by 2030. Leveraging its full-spectrum industrial chain advantages, China is taking the lead in driving technological advancements and setting global standards.

As both a “barometer” and “catalyst” for China’s new energy battery industry, CIBF2025 seizes this historic opportunity by undergoing a comprehensive upgrade—evolving into a full-industry-chain super platform that spans materials, cells, equipment, recycling, and applications.

The exhibition has reached an unprecedented scale: covering over 300,000 square meters, it brings together more than 3,200 top-tier global exhibitors and over 400,000 professional attendees. With a markedly higher degree of international participation, decision-makers, research experts, and buyers from 18 countries across four continents will converge here to explore collaboration and shape the future of energy.

Breakthrough Technologies and Scenario Revolution: Defining the Next Decade of the Battery Industry

A new era of battery innovation is on the horizon. As next-generation technologies such as solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, and lithium metal batteries approach mass production, the global battery industry is poised for a major transformation. CATL is expected to debut its third-generation condensed battery with an energy density exceeding 500 Wh/kg, while BYD will unveil its full-scale solid-state battery production line model for the first time. Companies from Europe, North America, Japan, and South Korea will also showcase cutting-edge materials, including cobalt-free cathodes and silicon-carbon anodes, setting the stage for intense global competition.

CIBF2025 will feature a specially designated "Disruptive Technology Experience Zone," serving as a platform for transitioning innovations from laboratory breakthroughs to industrial applications.

The industry is being driven by a dual engine of digital intelligence and green closed-loop systems. AI-powered Battery Management Systems (BMS), traceability platforms for battery “identity authentication,” and technologies for automated disassembly and second-life utilization will underscore China’s leadership in full-lifecycle battery management.

Wang Zeshen, Secretary-General of the China Industrial Association of Power Sources, emphasized:
"The future of battery industry competition lies in ecosystem integration and digital intelligence. Chinese companies are reshaping the global value chain through technological innovation and standard-setting."

At the event, two major industry reports—the 2024 Blue Book on the Lithium-ion Battery Industry and the White Paper on Battery Standardization for Low-Altitude Aerial Vehicles—will be officially released. Several strategic cooperation agreements will also be signed, accelerating industry standardization and promoting sustainable development.
